WHAT’S IN MY MAKEUP BAG?
I want to give you gorgeous people a look inside my makeup bag – makeup and skincare products I use and why I use them. The products mentioned in this series will be ones that have gained my stamp of approval over time and have become favorites.
The product I will be discussing today is fairly new on the market, but the brand is a long-time heavy hitter in the cosmetics industry. The brand is NARS and the product is their Soft Matte Complete Concealer. Prior to getting my hands on this, I was heavily in the market for a good, full coverage mid/high end cream concealer. I tried several. Either they did not have enough coverage or they wouldn’t stay put throughout the day. Once I saw that NARS was releasing a new concealer, I knew I would love it. NARS concealers do not disappoint in my opinion. Sure enough, the Soft Matte Complete Concealer was a winner! As the name implies, the consistency is very soft and easy to blend. Even with such a soft consistency, you still get a full coverage. I layer it over my acne scarring to get the fullest coverage. You also don’t need a lot of product. A little goes a long way. It’s actually best to use the least amount possible to avoid it looking cakey. In addition, the finish of this concealer is matte, which is great for the warmer summer months. In terms of application, I typically apply this concealer with my fingers. Occasionally, I will use a small concealer brush. Another thing I love about the NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer is that it has a pretty extensive shade range. That is very important to me when it comes to recommending a product, as I want as many of you as possible to benefit from my recommendations.
NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer can be found at Sephora (photo above is directly from the Sephora website) for $30 (I am in the shade Caramel).
In the photo below, this concealer is the only complexion product I have on my face, besides a bit of loose powder to set it. I know some of you may be gasping or even laughing at that price. I know, I know. It is a bit steep, but as pointed out in my “Is It Worth the Splurge?” post, complexion products are ones to splurge on. I promise you will not regret it!
Till next time gorgeous,
Sarah Robyn
